MANILA, Philippines—Perpetual Assist notched a candy victory over NCAA rival Letran, 81-68, within the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup at San Juan Area on Friday.
Jielo Razon tallied 19 factors, three rebounds and two assists within the win that put the Altas on the prime of Group I with a 7-2 document.
“I’ll take this win. In my teaching profession within the NCAA, Letran’s the one staff I haven’t crushed. That’s why it’s candy for me,” coach Myk Saguiguit mentioned.
Kurt Reyson’s heroics weren’t sufficient to convey the Knights to victory with 24 factors, three assists and two rebounds as they dropped to a 6-3 card. They should compete with Luzon qualifier Guang Ming School of their first project within the preseason play-in.
Nationwide College, in the meantime, defeated Far Jap College, 73-67, behind Jake Figueroa’s stellar outing.
Figueroa powered the Bulldogs to a 7-2 slate with 11 markers, eight boards and three assists whereas Steve Nash Enriquez chipped in 11 within the victory.
The Tamaraws fell to a 5-4 document and tied with Adamson however by advantage of quotient, they’ll take the fourth seed and face the VisMin qualifier Jose Maria School Basis of Davao within the play-in.
Mo Faty and Rojan Montemayor dropped 14 factors every within the FEU defeat.
The play-in video games will start on Wednesday.
